Daniel Daube, MD, Named 2023 NFO Otolaryngologist of the Year

The Network of Florida Otolaryngologists (NFO) proudly announces Dr. Daniel Daube as the recipient of the prestigious 2023 Otolaryngologist of the Year Award. This accolade, presented during the Annual FCOM event at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, recognizes an individual who exemplifies excellence in otolaryngology within Florida.

Dr. Daube, founder of Gulf Coast Facial Plastics and Ear/Nose/Throat Center, has been a beacon of innovation and expertise in his field for over two decades. Born in Compton, California, and a graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in the top 10% of his class, Dr. Daube is the only double Board Certified and Fellowship-trained Facial Plastic Surgeon/Otolaryngologist in Northwest Florida.

His distinguished career includes Board Certification in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery, as well as significant contributions to nasal reconstruction research. Dr. Daube’s commitment to education is evident in his role as a Clinical Faculty member at Tulane University Medical Center and his extensive publications.

An active member of numerous medical associations, Dr. Daube’s honors include the Sir Harold Delf Gillies Award for best research in facial plastics and recognition in Becker’s ASC Review’s “150 Physician Leaders”. His dedication to the field extends to his service on the Inspector Committee of the American Association of Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF) for 13 years.

This year’s NFO award, which invites nominations from peers and is determined by the highest number of nominations, is a testament to Dr. Daube’s peer-nominated achievements and his unwavering commitment to excellence in otolaryngology
