Demonstrate competency in performing the following clinical evaluations and
assessments:
Comprehensive diagnostic audiometric evaluations for adults and pediatric populations,
Immittance assessments
Otoacoustic Emissions (OAEs)
Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) evaluations on adult and pediatric populations
Electronystagmography or Videonystagmography (ENG/VNG), Knowledge of Vestibular
Evoked Myogenic Potential (VEMP) though may not be performed routinely
Hearing aid analysis, selection and fitting
Real ear measures including speech mapping and real ear to coupler difference (RECD)
Assessment of hearing aid function and repair (including real ear to assess feature function)
Demonstrate competency in:
Ear mold impressions
Making in-house swim molds
Cerumen removal with syringe irrigation and/or using a lighted curette
Aural rehabilitation counseling
Demonstrate competency in:
Occasional off-site OSHA and/or health fair hearing screenings
Follow standard procedures for OSHA and audiology department infectious disease control
Follow office procedures for HIPAA compliance
Responsible for department function (i.e. hearing aid pricing, NOAH/software, vestibular
coordinator, marketing)
Required Skills
Degree: Masters or Doctorate in Audiology, licensed in the state of FL
Desire to work in a team environment
Interest in evidence-based practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Willingness to participate in community outreach initiatives and marketing
EHR Experience
